I have a right to plan my own death.

I decide that a non resuscitation order can be extended to include non interreference, so that, treatment can be withdrawn if I reach the limitations I stipulated as unsustainable for my life. Those limits have to be determined by me. I don't want anyone to feel obliged to try to make me eat or try to get me out of bed. I want it to be OK to not want to carry on.

All new businesses/patents must include recyclable packaging.

We have to ban the use of single use plastics going forward. High street vendors must be made more accountable for the rubbish they produce. Consider a ban on eating 'in the street' and provide covered seating areas in parks instead with recycling bins. Limit take-away food outlets per street. They don't have this issue in most of Italy because Italians have a better relationship with food and more respect for meal times. We should be more Italy.

All new builds must include a renewable energy source.

Why don't we have solar panels on the roofs across the city? The technology is available to install solar panels on all sorts of private housing, why can't property owners be forced to provide it for flats? We also need to re-think how we charge for water in flats. It is not fair that surface water charges are more expensive in flats. This is because they are costed to set a charge relating to council tax. It is much fairer to measure the roof area and share the cost between the flats below it.

Our health service is pro-active rather than reactive.

A new baby is subject to various checks including home visits to developmental checks and milestones, yet this stops at 16 weeks. Surely we should continue to monitor health, development and wellbeing, once a year up to high school, then every 2 years, then every 5 years as an adult. Perhaps if we had the chance to talk to a health professional we could avoid some mental health issues. We should also have smart watches to help us self manage things like diet and exercise to help prevent life-style related conditions.

Tupperware sizing is standardised.

I don't think I need to explain this one.

The price of travel is capped.

Train and bus fares should be capped for low income families.

The school curriculum is scrapped and reinvented.

Why are we still using an education framework that was designed for the industrial age? A system hell-bent on treating all learners the same, on measuring them against each other, on providing them with certificates that do not relate to the real world problems, that fails to help them develop the skills they will need and fails to to give them a voice to talk about the things they are concerned with.

A community centre exists in every town.

Each town should have a space for people to get together, join voluntary projects, share problems, chat and get advise. The centre should act as a hub for all charities events within it's boundary and source opportunities for outreach programs for local residents. This centre should be fully staffed and funded via the council tax of the community it supports.
